Roof Spoiler Or No Roof Spoiler, Please post pics!

Forum for Infiniti M35 and M45, and Nissan Fuga owners.

Put a roof spoiler on the 2006 M45 Sport?

Yes, they are dead sexy and will compliment the body kit on that hot M45.

Guys,

I'm contemplating getting a rear window/roof spoiler.

I'm really torn. Just wondering what you guys think.

Could those of you who have them, please post pics, preferably from the side view so I could see how they compare tot the rear trunk spoiler's angle.

Also, could you post where you go yours from, please.

Here's one on ebay for $77...

Here's one for $88...

Thoughts, ideas?

Don't have any pics but putting the rear roof spoiler and also the trunk spoiler, you will definitely have to put some 20's. The car M45 body is massive so even 19 inch wheels seem small.

Its basically like a chain reaction. As soon as you put that roof spoiler, there comes the trunk spoiler, and then some bigger wheels. If you can lower the car about an inch, the car will look much more complete and powerful.

Hey but that's just me.

Here's an older picture of the car but you can see the roof spoiler a bit better. It's just an ebay spoiler. Fitment is OK, but not perfect. It'll have to do until my other one arrives.

looks good.

What I'm trying to avoid is one of those roof spoilers that is angled up (vertical), since our trunk spoilers are more horizontal.

But none of the eBay seller's pictures are very specific to the M.

I love my Sarona roof spoiler. :dblthumb: It looks great with the oem trunk spoiler.

It makes the rear window look smaller which makes the car look sportier.

With the more aggresive drop and wider rears you're going to be rolling on I think it'll be an excellent addition to your exterior look!! Plus, not a very expensive add on if you go with an ebay one. I'm placing my order today....will post pics when I get it on!!

They are 19"s from a G37 Sport. I got them from my buddy at Infiniti of Tampa.

They were powder coated in black chrome.

Hey yosM45, did delivery really take 21-30 business days like it mentions? I've never ordered anything from overseas, so wasn't sure if that time frame was accurate or not.

Thanks! The wing looks awesome.

I ordered it on 5/31, they attempted delivery on 6/10 but I was out of town, so I got it on 6/13.

It takes them 1 week to paint, so after a week they email you the fedex tracking number.

I didnt need a heat gun or blow dryer.

The spoiler was very flexible. I....

1) removed the red strip off the 3M tape.

2) i had my wonderful wife hold the opposite end up so it wouldn't stick to the windshield while I began putting my side down.

3) the spoiler is the exact width of the rear window, it bumps up against the silver weather strip very tight from end to end.

4) so put down the one corner tight up against the silver strip and slowly work your way across to the other side, having the person assisting you keep the other side up while you bend it to your liking and press down.

5) once your done, just let the car sit outside in the heat for a couple of hours so the 3M bakes on.

I kept mine very tight against the rubber strip on the top side of the window. As shown below...

Image

Oh, I also added a couple more strips of 3M tape to the corners which is usually where most spoilers tend to begin coming up with weathering.

Just got my spoilers today, added the roof and trunk spoiler, Pretty easy installation. The roof spoiler was prolly like an 1/8" too long so I had to trim a little bit. Overall, not bad for $110 for both shipped.

Looks really good.

Who'd you order from, yours looks a bit different.

My roof spoiler was a very snug exact fit. Very snug between the chrome trim pieces.

The roof spoiler I got from Bc.moto. Mine looks a little bit bigger than yours, It might just be the angles?

Zero issues. No fading, cracking, peeling. Even through car washes.
