http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...witem=I just bought one and other guy from the other forum. Cant beat that price and the look is much better IMO being more aggressive. Only one available. Should have it in two weeks. Ill post pic of it installed.

Does a roof spoiler serve any functional purpose in terms of aerodynamics or is it just for aesthetics?

It serves a purpose if properly designed and for speeds of above 70mph or so. I'm assuming this one is just for asthetics

Ive gotten a couple of emails asking about the company. This company is very reputable. Ameba Wings makes the spoiler and make alot of OEM spoilers. BMW to name one. A search will bring you info on them and their site.

Can you please share what installation entails? Is it a glue-on type of fitting? I found this seller on eBay selling it for $105 painted. He claims no drilling of holes is required, so I wonder how do you fasten it then?

Just like the OEM spoiler. 3M tape. You have to clean the window off and it sticks to the window. Its has no place to drill unless you want to drill the window But it need to be hot out so you can curve the spoiler with the roof. I used a heat gun to soften it up because it is straight when you get it. Also needs to sit in 70+ degree weather so the tape can cure. I used masking tape to pull down on it for like 2hrs. Its not going any place. I HIGHLY recommend you do it in 70+ degrees. Ive gotten complements like crazy already. Alot from BMW drivers.

3M ha...? how well does it hold though? high speed driving, crazy and brutal Chicago winters? Will ti hold up? I mean it would suck to loose a 100 dollar spoiler while driving on freeway.

it will be a while before it hits 70 degrees in chicago, plus i dont have a heat gun will masking tape keep it in place without heat gun?

Does the OEM spoiler blow off.

I suggest you take it to a body shop.

Can someone post some pictures of the M with this roof spoiler farther away? So you can see what it looks like far away, with a full picture of the car?

Looks pretty damn nice. Adds a nice touch.... I ordered one last night. Do you think it is safe to put a car through a car wash (non touch-free)?

Im against car washes totally. But its not going anywhere. It attaches just like the OEM. Its all about prep and a clean install though. My OEM is started to pull on one side. Its coming off anyways in a couple of weeks.
