Im looking to get my hands on some SE roof racks. I have the LE ones which are ok, but since I never put anything on the racks, they are pretty much obsolete. I want the SE ones because they have that air damn by the sun roof, and they say PATHFINDER along the side which looks pretty BA if you ask me.

Where can I get my hands on some, other than eBay, for a good price?

... If any SE guys want the LE ones, let me know!

I hate to be a Debby Downer, but the SE roof rack isn't a great as you think. Aesthetically it looks rugged and bad a**. The downside: it's weak as hell. I have a cargo basket with a spare tire mount, the crossbars can't support the spare tire. Nissan decided to use cheap plastic rail sliders on the end of the crossbars which resulted in wobbly crossbars.

If you plan on carrying anything on the rack, then I wouldn't recommend switching to the SE roof rack. If you don't carry stuff and you just want that rugged look then you'll be fine switching.

i dunno pwnin, since i have the SE roof rack, and that thing carried 3/4 of the pressure treated wood for a playset. I think there was easily 250 pounds but pressure treated is heavy so probably more on it, and it held up fine. so i have to disagree there.

I think that the SE roof rack is great for small jobs and round trips (biking, canoeing, lumber, etc.) but when it's under stress for long periods of time, it starts to fail. I just don't think the rack can handle constant weight (the cargo basket, spare tire mount and spare tire weigh about 70-80lbs. total), the plastic starts to wear and starts to bend/deform.

See mine are all for show.. I never use them....

I took them off a week ago to repaint them black, and I almost just left them off, but the car looked like a base 4 runner, and that didn't sit well with me.
