I recently purchase the cross bars for my 08 Rogue on Ebay but they didn't come with any screws or hardware. Anybody know what size/kind of screws are used with these?

That is kinda cheap, crossbars should come with their associated hardware.

They are the same Nissan uses to control the length of the bars, so you could remove one and go to a hardware store to find 4 more.

You could try to go to the parts department of your dealer, they should give them to you or sell them for cheap.

I am not sure what is the hardware name/partnumber but here what I wrote on another forum about the torque driver to install them:

Quote »... here is what would work to get the job done:- Hexagonal screw driver head pin (Ikea style), I will say 4mm (5/32" is a little bit too small and 3/16" is too large),- Screw driver head pin Torx type T-30 should work too.[/quote]Hope this help.

Thanks for the info. I got them for $60 so they were a good deal even though no hardware which was stated in the description. I think I'm going to have to pay a visit to the Nissan dealer in my area. I tried finding it online but very little info is available.

Yeah, that's a bad deal. I got mine at the dealer, they came with the hardware - they are hex screws, so probably not too easy to come by at the average store. You don't want the rails to be loose...

Those bolts/fasteners are going to be metric. Very difficult to find in most hardware stores. And when you do, they are only zinc plated and will rust in short order. Stainless metric fasteners are available... but they are even more rare.

Your best bet will be a specialty fastener shop, like those typically used by industrial/commercial customers. Otherwise the dealer is your only other option.

My Rogue came with the hardware for the crossbars installed in the roof racks.

Don't use them though, since Yakima makes a superior crossbar product that actually holds more than a small ladder.

I've hauled up to 3 kayaks or an 8' pontoon boat on top of the Yakima racks with no problems.
