I have nothing else to do =( (ps. i want Headers!)

somebody else wants that now? blah.. lol well when you find out adn get it done I want pics. Thats the last thing i plan on doing to my car, but it IS on the list! lolas far as just looking at it, it appears to be a vinyl though. I dont see any reason that would be a tint instead.

mr coupe.. come to the saturday meet!

The install is a DIFFICULT TASK!!!!

I know many guys on another forum who have attempted it themselves, and have posted pictures of the tint crumpled up in the garbage bc it was too hard...

Tint for a lease, paint it if ya own it...

his overlays are garbage i ordered them when i saw them and tried putting them on my taillights it was a disaster . i have the roof overlays i didn't even bother putting them on, In my opinion the quality of the vinall is not very good neither is the cut. im sure someone had success with them i dont wanna hate on his business but i wouldn't recommend it

Get yourself some shade, a exacto, a small ladder maybe, a squeegie, a big bucket of patience, and a friend... that may make it easier... i still think its better to have it painted if you own the car....

The edges are gonna be damn near impossible to get covered, and theres nothing worse than a black roof with red stripes on the side...

Mr_Coupe... im holding you to showing up! Theres a caravan to the meet too... if you are interested...

It's a black gloss vinyl. Really easy to apply. You need 2 or more people, a heat gun, soapy water, and a realllly clean surface.

1st off, its black vinyl, second, they are not garbage, they are high quality overlays... don't confuse your inability to install it with its actuall quality..

Due to the complex curves in OUR taillights, the taillight overlays are meant for PROFESSIONAL installers that understand taking time, heating properly, stretching when necessary, etc... it is NOT for beginner, average, or pretty good tint guys... I even know professional tint guys that won't attempt it because it is difficult! BUt to blast someone's business just because YOU couldn't do the install and messed it up is just wrong

2nd, Mr_Coupe, I'll call Andy tonight and talk to him... he's EXTREMELY busy, and doesn't always answer emails... he gets a minimum of 50 - 100 everyday, and that can add up really quickly... remember, he does these for almost every vehicle, not just A/C, and its just him!!!!

I'll let you know when I get in touch with him... I should see him at our local meet here in San Diego tomorrow

as far as the matte black roof overlay... yeah, that's something I'm still contemplating doing.. I;ve got a matte black theme going on on my car with the factory rear appendage, rear matte black tails, matte black Stillen SPlitter, and soon a matte black GTR headlight overlay!

I just hate the fugly amber light, and rather than wait until I open the head light (which I will do in the future) I just want to see what it looks like with a matte black headlight overlay with an opening cut out for the turn signal!

Like the doc said, these overlays are Oracal high quality vinyls, lasting at least 7 years under the sun. As far as installation, the tails can be daunting, but the roof is the easiest install when it comes to any vinyl, since the surface is flat as hell.

vinyl is one of thoes things that has a high learn curve...i did my tails....took my about 1hr 45 mins! and it aint bad but not perfect....it was the first thing i ever vinyled...then i tried the head lamps....yup they flew nicely across the garage!....then i got some of my own vinyl to play with...now im gonna redo my tails....the right way!

interesting.... the headlamps have the potential to be at least 10x easier than the tails... you just have to start on the correct surface.... I got bluebatmobile's installer to show me how to do it, and it was easy after that.... for a super modder like you, give it another try, I think you'll find its much easier the second time around

yeah, i forgot about that... .... heck no you can't cover those up.... I'm gonna get me a practice set, and copy your running lights... if it comes out nice, I'll get another set, and do the same... if they both come out nice, I'll just swap em out with my current ones! ... but until then, I'm gonna try out these matte black overlays!

Hey, that's my coupe. It is a high gloss black vinyl. Mine was the prototype. It's high quality and still looks great. I just haven't posted any pics on here because I don't have rims.
