hey guys, i'm taking my car to paint soon but i want to flush my antenna on the 95 240. i want to install the bmw style sharkfin antenna or something similar on either the roof or the rear window. has anyone done this and if so how would i go about doin it.

i'm assuming disonnect the stock antenna, reroute the wires and just connect it to the new one through a drilled hole. but i've also seen some wireless ones. not to savvy on electronics. did some searches but did not help.

Is there no antenna grid on your rear glass?

I would tend to doubt it, but I don't honestly know. Why bother if you have the antenna on the rear glass? That one alone worked fine for me. It might not get good enough reception for you, but you could at least give it a try.

Look and see how many connections you have on the rear glass. You will have two for the defogger grid, and if you also have one more then it's for the grid antenna. If you have that then I'm suggesting that it may give you good enough reception without any other antenna.
