Ok so here's my situation. I have a 92 coupe with a redtop SR. It has the #63 ECU, stock 370cc injectors, stock maf and SKINNY O2 sensor. Im planning on doing a performace upgrade... 550cc injectors, Z32 maf, Warlboro, Adj fpr, Rom tuned Ecu. So I ordered an ecu from a guy and get an E5 ecu. So here's my concerns.

1. Ive read that the O2 sensors need to be changed to work properly. ( the guy that ran it before me didnt even use an O2 sensor but I am) Is this true? Do I run the FAT O2 sensor?
2. Do I have to change any of my existing wiring in my harness at all for this to work? (O2 sensor, TPS, Maf (which im adding the Z32 pigtail anyway) Or is it plug and play since I'm running the stuff it's tuned for?

Ive read quite a bit on this across quite a few forums and these questions are the ones that stick out to me. It seems that the stuff everyone has posted on is for doing stock to stock tuning and I dont know if with a tuned ECU that there is a difference.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW?
Any input is appreciated.

Yes "technically" the e5 needs the fatty o2. I've seen either oxygen sensor used successfully. If you have an aftermarket dump pipe you will end up getting a fatty anyways. The 95 300zx ty upstream works great because its a direct plug in and the harness is longer. If you give them all your specs than yes its a plug and go deal. Make sure you hook your mafs up correctly though.one ground has to be grounded to chassis. Also make sure when extending the mafs. Wires use shielded wire for the signal wire and ground the shielding to chassis. Also no butt connectors! Butt solder so you don't have any voltage drops into the wiring. Other than that if you need to replace the o2 that's in the stock dump pipe you wont find it. The thread are different. Jdm only.

I got my car already swapped and it has an aftermarket dump pipe but has the SKINNY O2 sensor. The harness was done nicely and no butt plugs are present. I was under the impression that to switch to the Fatty O2 Sensor, you need to change the wiring around as one grounds differently than the other. Any info?

I did a billion hours of research and that is hearsay. I looked at a ton. Of ecu pinouts and couldn't find not one saying it had an o2 ground! Even called dude in so Cal that does all my eprom chips for Nissan's and he said the same thing. And actually there are two skinny o2. TheI jdm skinny will not fit in aftermarket housings. Just get the 300zx. You'll be happy.
