Ok here's my setup. basics are 550cc top fed rc injectors, z32 mafs, adjustable nismo regulator, 10 psi, stock internals, all emissions removed, recirc bov, enthalpy tune.

Here's my issues. I used to have 440cc DW injectors with an emance tune which was horribly rich at idle but oddly enough fairly smooth in boost and whatnot. So i decided to upgrade to top fed 550cc rc injectors with an enthalpy tune to match.

My issue is that the car won't idle good worth a damn, and during boost it sputters, as well as just during cruising. The car would lean out real bad at idle and it'd sputter, and sometimes die out. I've gotten 3 retunes so far from enthalpy, and none of them seem to want to work right. I know for a fact they are the 550cc rc's because i emailed them the part numbers on them and they verified for me. The latest tune i got from enthalpy idled fairly well but it would randomly lean out all the sudden and the car would sputter for a second and it would idle smooth for a good while but randomly lean out and sputter.

Here's how i know my injectors are good,,... with each tune i got from enthalpy that wouldn't idle right i would then pop in my old emance tune for 440cc injectors, and the car would idle Perfectly smooth, no sputter or anything like that. So that would mean that my injectors are ok right since it somehow idles smooth and even drives smooth with the emance tune for 440cc dw right? The emance tune is even smooth in boost with these injectors albeit it is very rich during boost but it is much smoother than the enthalpy tunes.

The guys at enthalpy claim this is the same tune they sell to many others and they have no issues, yet i've been through 3 and still have issues. I'm wondering if the difference is that these are top fed. Because i recall a while back when i first went with the emance tunes i had top fed rx7 550s and no matter what he could not get those to idle right for me. So i went ahead and got the sidefed 440's and he got me a tune first shot that idled perfectly smooth although a bit rich at idle, and was smooth in boost. So i kept that for a while but i was sure i was missing out and that's why i upgraded to the rc 550s and the enthalpy tune. ANd i am wondering if anybody would have any clue as to WHY the emance tune is running my car better than the Enthalpy one? I'm baffled by that....

any help or comments appreciated.

Low impedance or high impedance injectors?

high impedance. They meter out at 13 ohms. They are RC engineering Part number sl9-550
