just wondering if anyone knows where i could find a program to adjust my ecu maps and burn a chip myself. i wanna turbo charge my ka24e and i need ign. retard under boost, etc. I have found a very few websites but not with the ka program just the more popular sr, rb and vg30's. from what ive seen its just called the Nissan Romeditor. Thanks for posts.

As far as I know there isn't any public address mapping for the KA24E ecu, but I have uncovered some portions of the ecu on my website.. particularly the ignition and fuel maps.

Here

This hasn't been 100% verified, though based on the sr maps and data, its very similar.

The ka ecu i think has to be socketed b/c it doesnt use chips. You have to actually solder in a daughterboard to accept whatever chip you will be using for editing.

That's an awesome site. Tons of info.

I'd like to eventually do something like this. Only thing is - are most of those technique apllicable to a KA rom? Do we use the same chip as a 300ZX? I imagine our ECUs would require much more work to be used in a boost environment as well, but I could be wrong on that.

The DE yes... not the E. The E uses an external EPROM, so it's easier.

The theory should be the same. The main difference is in the address map of the ECUs.

Shoot I don't have my pics in this comp. I'll try and answer that when I get home.

But the KA24E comes with 270cc injectors as does the DE. To run 10PSI the usual injectors people upgrade to are 370cc usually from the CA18DET and I believe someone mentioned the RB20DET but I'm not positive.

RB and CA are top feed, you want SR side feed injectors :)

The KA24E is top feed. DE is side feed.

He said: "what size injectors a ka24e comes with stock and if i should upgrade if i plan to run 10 psi" so I guess he was asking about the E injectors. ;)

Anyway, for kalescio this is an external eprom (bottom IC with a white sticker on top):
