Rollover Sensor

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

"I was reading where Infiniti didn't put the rollover sensor in some cars but the window sticker said it was so they are offering $2000 to these owners or a buyback of their EX35 since it is a missing safety feature."

I read this on another forum and does anyone know what Vin's this is affecting? Or is this just bs.

Agreed....not just one to another forum.

Other forums suck. :bs:

The EX doesn't have a dedicated rollover sensor. They wouldn't hide that.

There are several sensors inside the airbag control unit but they cannot be viewed or modified.

A typo is possible, though.

The very earliest 2008 EX35 models DID show a Rollover Sensor on the Monroney factory sticker. The EX35 went on sale in December 2007 and I believe Infiniti corrected the Monroney factory sticker printing error in February or March of 2008. We purchased one of the very first EX35s sold in California (definitely the first one sold in San Diego County) and our Monroney factory sticker listed the Rollover Sensor.

After Infiniti caught their printing error, they offered purchasers of the EX35s with the incorrect Monroney factory sticker the following options:

A) One-time $2,000 payment to compensate the owners for the "missing" Rollover Sensor.
B) A complete buy-back of the car, with some level of monetary loss if mileage was too high.

My wife and I chose the $2,000 payment. Since we had managed to negotiate a below factory sticker deal in the first place, the extra $2k made the deal even sweeter.

Here is the original topic where we discussed this rollover sensor error back in 2008:
