First off i have a 95 240sx. So, i bought a gauge cluster for pretty cheap off of ebay because my rpm gauge has never worked. And i never know what rpm's im running at. So my car has like 115k miles, and the new one has 31k on it. It very important that i keep the same mileage on my car because i may one day sell it or something. So can i just simply take the clear plastic off and roll the numbers up? I know you cant roll them back because there is a clip stopping them from, to prevent mileage fraud. I know how it is working on clusters and its a pita! I really dont want to eff up this one. lol New one:

Are with DOT??? just kidding, my friend what you are asking for is ilegal activity. There are places that will do it but you are required to present a legal document with the old cluster mileage as evidence. Can you do it yourself ?, probably...but again I do not recommend it...

You can do that yourself alright You'll have to take off the plastic cover, then remove the speedometer from the cluster(it's not hard). There should be some kind of plastic lever/clip/rod whatever that you pull out to the side and it will allow you to just spin the numbers to wherever. At least this is how it is on an s13.

Why didn't you just keep your stock cluster and buy a separate tach?

Why don't you just transfer the odometer over. It's only like 2 screws and 1 wiring connection.

Oh, and there is nothing illegal about selling the car with incorrect mileage as long as the difference is explained on the title. I bought a new odometer from Nissan 2 years ago and they didn't even roll it from the warehouse even though I had to given them my old odometer’s mileage.
