For those of you who have rolled your fenders how did you do it? Did you use a hammer like this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDTK9IjKIYU

Or use a fender roller like this one? http://www.frsport.com/Stance-Fender-Ro ... 12769.html

Can any of you post your results? I need to get about 1 more inch of clearance to make use of some stance coils and I want the best results. I dont mind spending the extra cash for the fender roller if it does a pristine job but if there is another good way to do it and save some cash that'd be nice.

Also, is it worth it to replace the rucas, tie rods, etc. when I replace the spring/dampener combo I have with stance coils? I was thinking of going with some circuit sports rods and rucas and replacing all of the bushings just to be safe. I want to drop 2 inches more or so but be able to maintain a certain camber to keep a stance. I assume you can only push the stock parts so far. I've seen a lot of you install coils and say that the camber was wayyy off.

i used a torch, rubber hammer and a small pipe. also used a baseball bat once.
yes, get a pair of ruca when you go coilovers. you can slam pretty low with just that, other parts will wear out faster, arms will get dented the lower you go.

So should I replace the arms right away or wait for the stock ones to go out first? Thanks for the swift response. I just want to do it right the first time and there is not much 240sx knowledge in the entire state I live in.

I had my fenders rolled by a guy, I didn't feel like messing about with a baseball bat or hammer.

Right now, my rear camber and toe is way off, I don't know if I can use the stock arms to bring it back to normal but if I can't, I'll have to buy some adjustable ones.

Yeah I dont want to damage anything so I'll most likely just get the rods right away. Got any pics of how far off yours is up close?

anything lower than 1.5" will need ruca and toe control with more adjustability. you will not get enough adjustment to correct toe and camber.

Thank you for clearing that up for me. Your car is very clean! I think I will go with the front end with a lip instead of a fiberglass front bumper. My old one cracked beyond repair too easily and I love how clean it looks on your car. I just wonder if it'll fit with the skirts and rear bumper I have.

about the dented arms thing, powered by max has a newer version that is angled so you can go lower and they still have clearance. pretty cool stuff.
but unless you are ridiculously slammed you wont need all that at the moment, just rear upper camber adjusters, ruca. and you can roll like that.

Yeah as far as the rolling fenders go, if you can get a hold of a roller just do it yourself. Its very easy to do and obviously the right tool is going to make it easier.

If you can't get a hold of one a baseball bat works just fine, shuv it in the wheel well and drive foward/backwards slowly keeping the bat rotating about a common point.
