Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Is it common for the EX to roll backward when in drive? Such as while waiting for a traffic light to turn green and you are going uphill. If you take your foot off the brake you will role backwards. Is this normal or is something wrong with my EX?

I think its normal to do that.

Engine Idle was never meant to be a "Hill Holder".

Use your Brake!
