yes tons of people have tried it do a google search for "rustoleum $50 paint job" theres a long a** thread on a mopar forum that is pretty detailed

total fail... dont do such things...

well maybe if you use LATEX so that if you dont like the color you could just PEEL it off

or you could do the other thing and just rattle can it... roller paint = fail

prep and more prep did paint and sand and sand to smooth and finsh it with a nice polish and it will still look ok its not a top notch paint job but it will good from a far,,,lol

It can turn out great.. but in my experiance it's better to spray it with a gun.. and really it's works just as good to get a good coverage down with spray cans and then wet sand and roll on a few extra coats.. then wet sand that and hand polish and wax.. wait a few weeks and wax again and it'll be better than some factory jobs..
