Quads are so much better.

Jam skatin ftw!!!!

I don't know how inlines work, but don't get anything all plastic. You wanna get a nice pair that she/he can use for a long time with a metal brace that holds the wheels in and a nice leather with padding inside boot. They make 4-5 wheel Inlines, the speed skate inlines are typically 5 wheels.

Carrera is the Porsche of Quad Skates.

Are you intending this as a surprise? Kind of impossible when you need to fit her (him?) for it. If not, the experience will suck. Maybe put some generic skates under the tree...and then go to the store to get them fitted properly.

Skates can get expensive.

Does he want "skate" roller blades or just inline skates.

skate roller blades - small wheels, no rear brake.

inline skates - big wheels, rear brake on one foot.

Man I haven't used rollerblades in a long time.
No idear Bex. :(
We just bought rollerblades from Sports Authority or Big 5 or something, and went with the most comfortable one.

I used to rollerblade all through highschool, while everyone else was skateboarding. www.rollerwarehouse.com has good deals and a lot of older models for cheap. Though it is for "aggressive skating" not "recreational"

This is what im talking about:

I bought everything I ever used from rollerwarehouse.

I'm poor so I could only get Razor Cult5's. They lasted me a few years though so I can't complain.
