Due, to recent activity, about this interesting, newer (to US) Infiniti model I am kinda curious.

Please tell us color/combo and options too, even if you already posted into another thread.

Thanks!

I just picked up my Emerald Mist/Willow (what a beautiful color combo) M45 on Friday evening ... I was working on a deal to get this car for the past month or so ... and I truly STOLE the car ! What a deal -- if anyone is looking to get this extraordinary car and you live in the Philly area, go to WEST CHESTER INFINITI !!! Ask for Paul S (sales) or Brian A (sales mgr) - GREAT experience !

Mine has the Optional Wood Trim (very nice), Comfort & Convenience as well as the Premium Package ... SO glad I opted for that -- the voice recognition is so much fun !!!

ALL I can say is .. WOW ! What a car !!!

Cool! :) I think you have most, if not all, of us beat by a large margin in that regard. My new M45 is my 3rd Infiniti - first and third were new, second was used (from the dealer.)

Well, this is only my FIRST Infiniti -- I've had Acura's and Honda's before this car ...

They were pretty good to me and reliable -- but I'm liking the FEEL of this car already !

I just wish the GAS mileage was a little better -- cost me $34 to fill it up the other day - OUCH !!! And the insurance is a little steep too -- but if you wanna play, you gotta pay !

We need gas prices to come back DOWN -- NOW !!!

AZHM, I was hoping my post would drag you out of the woodwork. I'm in north central Phx, Moon Valley, not very far from Midway. Been a customer of the dealership for 12 years. Would love to meet you and see Quella sometime. I still have very fond memories of the 90k miles I put on my '94 Q. I'm hoping to make the 18th meet. Email me with times and details.

Spousal unit has a class to attend that day downtown, which would usually leave me stuck with the F250 Super Duty Diesel for the day. She's got a company car that she drives during the week, but the M is usually hers for the weekends. I could drop her off and pick her up which would leave me the bling bling ride for the day. Would make more sense than showing up at the meet in the Sea Ray hauler.

Diamond Graphite with smoked windows is a wonderful selection. The M45 is such a superb combination of elegance and kick ***.I drove one the other day on loan and I think I would probably kill myself if it were my daily driver.

You sir, are obviously a man of fine taste. I really struggle to understand why the M45 is such a dismal sales failure. Obviously you and I march to a very different drum than most others. But actually, it's one of the best things about owning an M. You hardly ever see another one on the road. Of course that's likely to turn into a liability at resale time. Fortunately, I'm on a lease, so I have downside market protection if I hold it to term.

Here's a different angle:

Russ, I still can't figure it out either. Why did the press DISLIKE this car so much ?? I love the fact that I now have a car that hardly ANYONE else on the road has ! I was seriously considering waiting for the new Acura TL, or getting a 2003 TL ... WAY too many of those out there. I would have never even considered the M45, but after researching it, and getting the DEAL I got, it was impossible to pass up ! I also leased it, so I have those same options as well at the end. Heck, my dad likes it so much, he's already thinking about buying it at the end of the lease. He's retiring in a few years and was looking to buy a 1-2 year old Lincoln or Caddy anyway -- I told him, hell, at least you'll KNOW where this car's been the last 3 years if you decide to buy it !!

Plus, this car is just so much DIFFERENT than anything else out there -- and has SOOOOOO much to offer !!! Screw the rest of those Lexus, BMW and Mercedes drivers -- I think we definitely have the BEST car in it's class !!!

The M45 is a a very desirable vehicle, and as great as the new model may look and perform, the current model will always be one of the more distinct, and I believe, ultimately desirable Infiniti models.

It is a great blend of speed, functionality, luxury and performance. Being absolutely the best deal on the planet makes it irresistable for all but the brain dead.

Howdy All! I've owned my M45 for exactly 33 days and 1100 miles and it is AWESOME. I'm not pushing it too hard yet but I've been amazed at the power already. This is my 3rd Infiniti: 93 G20, 96 J30, and now my M. The rest I've owned in between don't matter (except the 97 Maxima). It is Diamond Graphite/Graphite with comfort and luxury package. I've lurked on your board for some time now and hope to become an active member. JJR

Thanks for all the welcomes... I was wondering what M45'ers are running air pressure wise. I'm at 33psi all around (what the placard says) but was wondering what you all are doing. Also were you all offered a wheel/tire insurance type of deal. I wasn't and am waiting on a response from Infiniti.JJR

JJR:I dont have an M45 but I like to say a good rule of thumb is to be always a bit higher than what the placard says.

Hi, JJR.

I am running my tires at 35psi all around - on the W-rated Bridgestone (not the all season Michelins.) First, it is too easy to be under-pressure some days if you do not check it often. Better to be a little high than a little low. Second, I would rather have the extra load capacity of a higher pressure. Third, higher pressures tend to give a bit better handling as well as lower rolling resistance (better mileage - of course, the loss in mileage due to being 1 or 2 psi low is worse than the increase for being 1 or 2 psi too high).

I did not get any wheel/tire insurance deal from Infiniti. As far as I am concerned, if some defect causes the wheel to fail, then their standard warranty will darn well cover it! If I damage it, then it is my problem to pay for and fix - hopefully, my standard car insurance will help out then!

Txguy, first off - welcome to 'M45 Owner's Club' ! Hope you're enjoying the ride.

Since I picked up the car, my Tire Pressure has been around 35 for all 4 tires, I've also seen it fluctuate from time to time. However, the right rear passenger tire always seems to be a few below all other tires. Don't know why -- and I haven't added any air yet, but I'm keepin my eye on it !

Regarding the Tire/Wheel Protection package - when I signed all the papers with the Finance guy, he really didn't try to push ANYTHING on me - he mentioned the Lo-Jack, which everyone does, but I refused it. He then brought up a Tire/Wheel Protection package that usually goes for around $600 or so, and I refused that as well. It basically covered ANY problems with the wheels or tires that WEREN'T covered by Infiniti or Michelin (except for Bubbles of course). They finally said, 'we'll let you have it at cost if you really want it' .. I still passed, but seriously considered it, because 'cost' was only $295, and that was supposed to be for 3 years, but they'd let me have it for 4 (my lease is 39 months).

Then I starting thinking about how EXPENSIVE the tires are on the car, and the wheels are even more. When I went back to the dealer a few weeks ago, I asked the guy if he'd still give it to me for the SAME price, and he said, 'Sure'. So I did it. The thing that also sold me was he told about a lady who had hit a ditch or something with her FX45 and luckily had the package, because if she didn't the WHEEL alone would have cost her almost $1000 and the tire was another $400 (she has 20" on the FX) .. so, for a mere $300, I figured it was worth the peace of mind ...

I believe the name of the company is Beacon Automotive Industries -- it's a 3rd party company, obviously ... I'm sure my dealer isn't the only one offering it !

And the reason for not matching the pressure of the other three tires is ... ?__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t & 2000 Q45
