Doin' the whole 5 lug thing...

so im aware that the taper on the ball joints is different on the s13 vs s14, so the ball joint has to match the spindle.

A lot of people apparently just use s14 control arms on their s13 when they want to use s14 spindles. Otherwise, they press in ball joints that fit the s14 spindles (so I hear)

so my question is, are these special 'conversion' type ball joints, or are they just regular s14 ball joints.

Because if the're regualr ones, I dont see what would prevent me from just pressing these bad boys into my s13 arms:

anyone know if there are any tricks to pressing them in? I have a press, so i figure how hard can it be?

I'm not sure about the whole which size will fit ordeal. But pressing them in is super easy. If you have a press you're much more advanced than I am lol. I took a 1.5'' diameter pipe, an set it on the bottom rim of the ball joint. Then took a 2'' dia one and put it on the top. That whole setup wouldn't fit in my vise, so I just smashed that bastard with a hammer a few times. It worked like a charm.

So the moral of the story is, it's not that hard to press in a ball joint
