i think you mean 1.75 x 0.095 which is ok, but i suggest 1.75x0.120 for the main hoops, outside stringers, and overhead box. you can use the .095 for connective gussets and triangle fillers. basically if your going to put in a roll cage than you think that you may need it sometime, and if you need it you will be happy its beefy.

Find the rules for any groups that you think you might be driving with and make sure that you meet their requirements. 1.75"x0.120" should meet everyone's rules, but they tend to have slightly different rules for bracing arrangements.

the above info is correct.....there are however different types of tubing...you need to make shure it's (DOM) tubing..and be specific when you ask for it at your local metal dealer...DOM stands for..Drawn Over Mandrel...this is structual steel tubing and is the best tubing of its kind....as for having a cage..i can personnally vouch for the safty of them , even on the street!...saved my butt..and i dint feel a thing...remeber thou..with a cage, you should allso upgrade to a full bucket seat..and at least a 4 point harness...this is to keep you from smashing your scull on the cage if god forbid ..something or someone coused an accident while you were on your way to the track...good luck..and post some pics when you got it in.

That's a drag race style cage. If you want to go road racing that won't cut it. You'd want something more like this... http://www.ioportracing.com/Merchant2/m ... Code=AP670

I had a car where the safety equipment was worth more than the rest of the car. Not really a place to skimp if you ask me. Kirk racing makes one too I think, but their website is down at the moment.

use Autopower Roll Cages, They have built their reputation on building safe and Class complaint roll bars and roll cages. Their cages are SCCA approved, just tell them what class you are running and they will help you out a lot. Don and Rick are two of the nicest people around.
