Guys

I picked the car up from the cage builder's on saturday. I am quite impressed with the work that was done. The car will be certified for 8.50 and slower ET's. The swingouts are fully removable and the T-tops are fully functional as well.

Rear Bars tied into main hoop

Drivers side kick panel, notice how the kick panels are still in place

Window net up

Drivers side swingout pin

Passenger Area, swingout pin, main hoop, and harness bar

Passenger swingout & pin

T-top and interior panel clearance

Passenger bar swung-out

I should be painting it on wednesday, and maybe start working on getting the rest of the interior back in

A 700-800HP RB motor with a TH400 should go 9's pretty easily, maybe 8's

He is a local tube-chassis car builder. His name is Eric Vicary and his company is called Midwest Chassis and Performance. Great guy and hella good prices. The OTD cost on this was 1200 which included all hardware for the swingouts, and window net

I got to work on getting it painted and fitting the dash up. Looks like AC will be a GO on this thing because I was able to successfuly shoehorn the blower motor and all core back up in there!

Whew! Tight fit!

I assume the swingouts are permitted under NHRA/NDRA rules? This is gonna be a drag car right?

I lived in bloomington for a year, I know most of the crowd over there......I'll definately wont be limiting this car to just the streets, which is why I'm still going to run a 5spd until it grenades

The car will have complete interior, power steering, cruise control, and like I said im planning on AC still. I clicked off some low 11's last year in full street trim inthe VG setup, some low 10 second passes in full street trim would be pretty sweet IMO

Looks great! Get some pics of the interior bars back in.

Are you allowed to have 3 bends on the front tube in NHRA specs? I only ask because SCCA/NASA/ and other organizations only allow 2.

Still looks great!
