Rollcage: I'm looking for the most common roll cages that are the best bang for the buck and still allow things such as the glove box open. Any suggestions? No i don't really plan on drag racing just more for street and canyon carving stablility.

S15 Front bumper: I'm going to make a Sileighty (haven't decided on which 240sx body yet). If anyone has any suggestions for the cleanest looking S15 bumper please let me know with pics. So far i'm looking at the DRFT S15 Silvia front bumper and then which ever 240sx I go with get the body panels for that car.

Cusco makes a roll cage that they market the branding as "Safety 21." They are made of steel and can be had for fairly cheap.

Cuscos line of roll cages are made of chromoly and the price jumps by several hundred dollars for this material.

I'd say go with the Safety 21, the weight difference is not very drastic in my opinion and I think its a good bang for the buck.

Plus, it comes pre cut and will basically bolt right in.

Good luck!

P.S.- We import a container once a month and I can get any S15 bumper your heart desires whether domestic or foreign made.

They are one of two importers for CUSCO. They are also the Master Distributor to the USA. I can give you guys a good deal on the cage, but I will need you to email me personally if interested.

The cages are application specific and will be made to only fit you car. For the 240sx, they are made in 4-12 point designs.

We are a dealer for Cusco, but due to dealer agreements, I am not allowed to post pricing on the forums.

Please email me at [email protected] with specific product enquiries. Obviously a 4 point and a 12 point are going to be very different in pricing.

i'll also have to get in touch with you about the cage. Is this cage allow for the glove box to open still? I read in a magazine that the Cusco cage won't allow that

cusco roll cages are a terrible design, if you want some fancy blue bars to hit your head on in your car then buy one, but if you want somthing that wont kill you if you crash then look elsewhere.

I don't mean to sound rude. But, do you have any experience with Cusco?

I mean, I have a number of customers with their cages and I haven't heard one complaint.

It is the #1 selling roll cage in Japan, and that speaks volumes to me.

I'm sure you could "hit your head" on any roll cage that follows the headliner, which would be 90% of them....

Please clarify your statements....I'm not trying to sound rude, I just want to know why you feel the way you do?

its not legal under scca rules, nasa rules, etc etc.look at the bends in the bars that go around the dashboard, if you put a reasonable amount of force on it that would be the first place it would crumple. In reference to how the bars are attached, heim joints arent very strong in comparison to slip fit pipes, like kirk and autopower use, and it dosent compare to a welded cage at all.in addition, using it in a left hand drive car is a poor choice, as it disables the glove box, and the cross brace is positioned above the passengers head, where the driver was intended to be, in the original market. but in a lefthand drive car the driver is not the one who gets the majority of the rollover protection.

i dont know, ive seen a car that got wrecked into that had a saftey 21 cage and it held up, but why risk it with somthing like that. if i was doing barrel rolls down a straight i woudlnt want thoes monkey bars around my head.

they can make you somthing that dosent suck, and its a hell of a lot cheaper. my 4 point bar was 365, thats with harness bar and 2 diagonal crossbars from the driver area. if you want a cage in a daily driver, then keep a helmet handy because you should be wearing it every time you drive.
