Rogue with lights on but engine shut off

I just jump into my rogue to move it. I turned the car on and put it to D. It was shaking a little and didn't move. I could tell the engine turn off. All the lights were turned on though. I turn the key to the off position and then tried turning the car on. it turned over and i tried putting it in D. it move forward but kinda hesitate.

Did I just broke something? I don't think it is normal for a car to shut off.
