Rogue Transmission Problem

I purchased my Rogue in Feb. of 2008 and it has about 20k miles on it. Today the transmission started acting funny. My husband says it was slipping. The RPMs would rise suddenly and then fall back down to normal and it would jerk like it lost power. It has never done this before. It did it at almost all speeds. On the way home, it only did it once but the tranmission was shifting louder than normal and felt different.

I am wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem with their Rogue. I am so disappointed. I purchased the Rogue after owning my Altima for 11 years with never one problem. Since this is the first time that I have had the issue and it doesn't seem consistent, I would like to know if anyone else has had the problem so I have more information when I bring it into the dealership.

Welcome to the forum,

A few Rogue owners have had complaints of transmission issues. Wierd noises and erratic operation are just a few of the symptoms. There is a very long and heated discussion regarding this:

Some have had thier transmissions replaced and it solved the problem. I suggest you take it back to the dealer and have them look at it.
