Rogue SL 2014 Power Liftgate doesn't auto-close

Hi all and happy new year,

I have been trying, to no avail, to figure out what is happening with the power liftgate on my 2014 rogue.

The gate power open feature works properly using any of the buttons (dash, on gate, or on key fob), however i cannot use the auto-close feature with any of these buttons and must manually close the gate (Upon closing, the latch engages properly).

Is there anything i can try to do to reset the controller unit or something to that effect?

 I had same problem on 2014 Pathfinder. By removing a contact from the battery for 15 minutes the lift gate control module reset itself and the issue was resolved. Put a 3 month aggravation to rest!
