Rogue replacement tires

I know this subject has been done a lot before but just thought I would pass along my experience. I did a lot of shopping and wanted to stay with the H rated tires as recommended by Nissan. A few places tried to tell me it wouldn't matter but I felt better safe than sorry. I found what I think is a great tire for the money. Firestone's Precision Touring Tire which is rated for 70K miles, high for and H rated tire. I paid $137 each + $12 high speed balancing. Got $40 off the bill for paying cash. So far with just over 1K on the tires the handling is more solid and the stopping is noticeably better. At first I thought the had adjusted the brakes too. Smoother and a bit quieter too. They also look good on the Rogue and actually seem to be a bit taller and fatter even though I got the same size. 225 60/17.
Very happy with the choice so far.

Need help guys....my 2008 Rogue S is 4 years old, and therefore needs new tires. Taking this chance to upgrade rims as well. I found (and already bought) a set of 2009 Nissan Maxima rims. Specs are 18"x8" offset +50. The tire fitment chart provided by EggNogg shows that I should use 225/55-R18. Will the +50 offset be a problem? If so, will using 5mm or 10mm spacers solve possible rubbing? Any possible adverse effects on using this set-up?

I'll appreciate hearing all pros and cons on this issue.
