HI all! Brand new Nissan owner here, love it so far, but bothered by the power liftgate. Have had several instances where the auto close function would not work; would almost close, but seemed to detect something, beep and reverse to open. Twice I had grocery sacks in the trunk, but not hanging out or obstructing anything; once the trunk was near empty. Is this normal? It seems to me it is awful sensitive. Thanks for your help!

No it's not normal, and I don't have that problem with the power liftgate on my 2015 Rogue. Looking in my owner's manual, there's not much they say except it will reverse if it detects something in the way. The manual says a pinch strip on each side of the liftgate is used to detect any objects. Sounds like you need to take it back to the dealer to have them check it out.

Thanks, that's all I could find as well. I Googled it but found nothing. Guess I will let the dealer look at it!
