Rogue key fob compatability

My '08 Rogue has a key with lock/unlock & a red button all in the key head - a good design IMO.

I am trying to get a 2012 SV, and it has chip keys with no buttons and a separate remote, but the key itself looks to use the same blank, so - my query:

Does anyone here know if the 2012 can have those 3-button keys made for it so as to eliminate the separate remote ??

The '08~'10 and '11~'15 lollipop fob's were a bit different, but the '11~'15 lollipops are downward compatible and will work on all the gen1 MY's. You want a lollipop compatible with part number H0561-C993A.
