I finally got a call from Nissan Cutomer Relations yesterday. The rep said that they hope to have a fix for the problem in 2-3 weeks, but can't gaurantee it. If you recall, at speeds in excess of 55mph, it's like driving on scarified pavement from both a vobration and noise standpoint.

The rep said he wanted to reimburse us for all the trouble we've been through, but didn't say what this "reimbursement" was and more interestingly, he would not put any of our conversation in writing. I have been in touch with the Lemon Law people at the Vermont DMV.

The rep told me that about 30% of the Rogues that have already recived the computer upgrade to resolve the CVT issues don't respond (like mine). He insisted that studies show that there are no on going ill effects from the vibration and that the vehicle was safe to drive. When I asked him how they know that if they haven't been able to resolve the problem and his reply was simply that he is not a "tech person." Typical.

High speed vibration is typically drive line related:

- imbalanced wheels- out of round or defective tires- damaged or out of round rims- driveshaft or CV joint issues.

Doesn't sound like the dealer is being very supportive. I would try another Nissan dealer that is hopefully more understanding and willing to fix the problem, not just pass it off.
