2009 Rogue 2WDCan anyone help?I hit a bump with the right front wheel, example- sewer indentation or left hand turn into a curb, .

How bad was this bump? or running into a curb? Was it serious or a tap? Anyways, in this day and age of video. Thought of showing a video to the dealer of this perceived issue?

For areas like the spare tire and jack compartment I used foam padding, something like carpet padding works just fine.

Hey Couz,

Yes any home improvement store has carpet or foam padding.A good idea would be to visit a carpet store, their installers usually bring back the scraps from jobs and they just discard them as trash. Just ask them for a couple of pieces, they will be absolutely fine with that.

I have a 2008 Rogue with similiar noise complaints. I went into the dealer on the weekend and they say they have 2 recent recall items on the rogue that may fix these problems (we'll see if they are right!), plus there is a technical service bulletin that may fix it.

I've got an appointment next week to try and fix the problem. Originally I thought it was a problem in my glove box but when you describe the sound coming from the windshield meeting spot, that's exactly it.

the recalls are for a possible loose fitting in the steering box and the tire valves in the tpms system...also there is a reflash available for the cvt...if there is a tsb out there for this "windshield snapping" noise please let us know about it...also please keep us posted on what your dealer says...thanks and happy holidays to all nissan rogue members...
