By far the most common paint protection system used today is the clear protection film. The old-style leather bras are very rare now partially because the look is outdated (sooo 90's), and also it isn't the best for the paint. Those bras collect and trap a lot of dirt, and actually do more harm to the pain than good unless you take remove them often and wash the bra and paint thoroughly.
Basically they're a pain in the butt, I've had them in the past and would not recommend them at all. I currently have the hard plastic hood deflector, and this has been a great addition to the look of the vehicle, and a very functional way of protection the front end. I've considered adding the clear bra protection, but don't want to pay for the labour and haven't quite had the time to commit to it. It goes on just like window tint film, you wet down the vehilce with soapy water, apply the film, slide it around on the soapy water film until it's in perfect position, then squiggy out the water. It won't guarantee protection against large rocks, but will protect against most things, and will show damage over the years but the idea is it takes the hit while your paint stays safe. The beauty is, if it gets beat up, you just peal it off and your paint looks like brand new.
If you do a search for "paint protection film", and names like "clear bra" you'll get a ton of hits, and ebay has some precisely cut kits for any parts of the Rogue you want to protect. You might want to try a DIY on an easy, flat part like the hood, and if it works well try some tougher curved areas. Or, consider having it done at a detailing shop.
