Hey guys - my wife has a 2013 Rogue AWD. I'm not very familiar with the AWD system on Rogues, but as I understand it, some cars that are AWD aren't always using it, only when needed?

If so - which wheel is the main drive wheel when the AWD is not kicking in? Is it the front driver's side?

Thanks

The AWD system powers the front wheels all the time, with the rears kicking in only when necessary. Tapping the lock button gives you maximum traction for departing slippery intersections or digging through fresh snow, but this mode is restricted to speeds below 25 mph, so don’t plan on entering the Rogue in the Baja 1000.

your rogue is a front wheels drive, with the rears kicking in at specific times.
