Hoping others have run into the same issue: Broken signal light on the passenger side mirror. Bought an aftermarket replacement (tons of options out there that all seem to have the same design). Unplugged the old one and the tiny 2pin (male) plug that plugged into the original light was exactly the same (male) as on the new replacement. Every one of them I find (aftermarket) seem to have the same issue. Something I’m missing? Maybe my 2016 has a slightly different design than every other year in that window?! Frustrating…. I’m not trying to dig into my wiring and “Make something work”. I’ll just spend more for an OEM part . Any input is appreciated.

Try reversing the plug using jumper wires and see if it lights up. China manufacturers sometimes get the plug right but screw up the polarity. If it does light, just cut the connector loose and splice the wires in the right polarity with solder shrinks (don't use regular butt crimps, the inside of the mirror can get wet).
