Hello,

I bought a brand new Rogue 2015 SV about a month ago. Decided to give my car a wash and wax, and I noticed that the driver door is not flushed to the back door when closed. I took a look on the right passenger side and it is indeed flushed. There is about a good 2mm of misalignment. I don't think I've done anything to the car for the door to have this problem, only have less than 1k km on my odometer. Here are the pics..

I went to the dealership the next morning to have it checked out along with another issue I had with the car (infotainment froze a couple of times, which seems to have been fixed with a reboot/update). The service guy said that it shouldn't be like that and should be flushed like the passenger side. We even checked out other Rogues in the lot and all the doors were flushed. He called someone from mechanic and advised me that they will need to hold the car for 3 DAYS to fix the problem. I asked them why 3 days, which seems over the top just for this small misalignment to be fixed. Mechanic said they will need to remove the molding and take apart the door panel to see what the issue is. Apparently this takes 3 days? I decided to take the car home to think about it.

My question is, should I bring in the car and fix this small issue? Seriously, why 3 days? Should I just ignore it and live with it?

Tell the dealer you want a loaner vehicle (free of charge) if the repair is going to take 3 days. In fact insist you want a loaner. This is a warranty repair and the dealership should have offered a loaner without you asking.
