I don't think you should always assume that "recalls are bad", or in any way indicate the vehicle is inferior.
Instead I think this is a reflection of the higher quality standards and higher degree of scrutiny that goes in to designing and manufacturing vehicles today. In the past these smaller issues may have been missed, you'd never know what you're missing, or a recent example with GM defects leading to deaths where the manufacturer did not have the ability to catch problems early.
Nissan appears to have caught a small problem very early before it has had a chace to become a bigger problem, and it's a very quick and easy fix - nothing to worry about and actually it should give a bit of peace of mind that Nissan has such tight toleranes and quick reaction to safety and quality issues. But like anything in life, you can choose how to look at it, glass half full or half empty!
