Does anybody know of an 'about' section somewhere in the software where you can see the actual 'version number' of the car's software? That may help us in the future when / if Nissan releases new map, updates, etc.

I know for cars like Tesla that this helps troubleshooting behavior between versions :-)

It's in there but it's hidden. From another thread:
To access the menu - with the radio on, push the (Apps / i) button and hold it like that while turning the right radio button 90 to 180 degrees left and right a couple of times and then let the Apps/i button go and you are into secret menu.

Nice, that works. Thanks for that info!

The secret menu page shows the following:
Version
- update system software
- all kinds of version numbers

User configuration
- touch display calibration
- screenshot to USB
- time interval

Radio
- FM monitor (all kinds of debug info fields)
- am monitor (same here)
- sxm monitor (same here)

System state
- running system status
- speaker test 4khz
- speaker test 100hz
- display test

Self test
- no sub menu / buttons, just tells you 'self test', then comes back with results.

More to follow when I got more time to tinker with it ;-)

Edit: spelling

:worthless:

How about a YouTube video showing how to access the sub-menu?

I wish Nissan would be more like Ford and release software updates that owners can install themselves. It would be trivial to toss an update on a USB stick, enter this menu, and install it. My radio is glitchy as heck and I know they have made some updates, but I can't find out how to get my dealer to give them to me.

I think the radio/audio generally sucks as far as trying to navigate it. I have to do it sitting still, it's worse than texting! That's the touch screen part and the audio control might be a good idea, but it takes forever for the option list to quit and then it won't do what I ask anyway. If you learn anything please post.

Is there a source that shows what the most current software version is?
