Hello,

The passenger air bag light came on few days ago. I tried to reset it but it comes back after few minutes drive. Any idea what could be the issue/solution? What I found so far is advice to buy a new seat and I don't like this option - too expensive.

To clarify, you're talking about the PABI (the amber "Passenger Airbag Off" indicator on the console) and not the airbag icon in the cluster? If the icon is flashing then there are many things that can cause it besides the seat, so you need to pull codes from the airbag brain. If it's the PABI then there's a problem with the OCS Unit in the passenger seat cushion and unfortunately the advice is correct, the unit isn't serviceable. If the problem isn't wiring then the cushion has to be replaced.

Yes, it is the red indicator on the console. I checked and no errors in the computer.

I'm still confused, PABI's are generally amber and the red airbag icon is in the cluster. Is it a light like #1... ...or #2?

Is your scanner airbag-capable? Regular OBD scanners can't read the Bag Brain. If you're sure your scanner can read it then the only thing that can cause it to flash without codes is being stuck in "Diag Mode". There's a bulletin about it but I'm but sure if it applies or will work on the Brain in a gen2 Rogue:

I have a small scanner and probably cannot read the errors from the bag brain… will try to instructions on the bulletin to see what will happen.

just to clarify, the red light in blinking and is blinking faster compared with when do the reset. Also, does anybody know if the airbag will work if we drive with blinking red light. I couldn't find any info on it.

The blinks are codes, the Brain is telling you where it hurts. The '12 manual here is missing the Bag Brain section and the Rogue manuals don't define the blinky codes anyway, but I think your Brain should be similar to an older Sentra. See SRC-28 here and see what the blinks correspond to:
