Hi All,and thanks to all persons that post all the information,i did learn a lot from reading the posts, but i would like to ask all the knoledgeable people for some assistance,i am about to try,and i say try because this is my first attempt to install this,i am going to install a Viper remote start and alarm combo (think i will go with the Viper that supports the smartStart) and at another time add the SmartStart Moudle,i am also going to install an LCD Touch screen (retractable screen), i did installs before but on a Murano and that was mostly plug and play,so i do have the basic know how.So my first question is::::

1: where can i get a wireing diagram for 2011 rogue, and if their is anything as a step by step guide for same.

2: can i use the same power and acc wire to connect to the remotestart and lcd screen.

3: when i am doing the install do i have to disconnect the battery terminal.(some people seems to think that doing this will interfare with the Air bag and computer system )

4: What`s the best way to connect the wires with out having to cut them.

Thanks for all your help and advise.

Note: does not have Inteligent key,it has regular key to insert and turn to start engine.(no push button)

We don't have any step-by-step guides for Remote Start systems. Most owners elect to have a shop install the system for them.

The remote start system install is very involved and requires connection to several wires, not just ACC. The Rogue also features an anti-theft key system so you need a bypass box for it. IMHO, I would get a shop to install this for you. An improperly done install could result in your vehicle not starting.

Absolutely disconnect the battery!

You can get special wire splices that do not require any cutting. Nissan uses Posi-Taps for accessory installations:

Thanks Phillipa_240sx,i do understand all the other connections, but i just wanted to know if connecting the acc and power to the same acc and power source would draw too much power from the same source and cause some kind of problem. Thanks again.

Depends on the power draw of the various components. The 12V outlet in the console below the radio is probably the best ACC source as it's a separate circuit from the rest of the vehicle and is fused for 15A.

Your Viper alarm/remote start is still going to require a bypass kit for the Rogue's anti-theft/immobilizer system. IMHO, I would leave the remote start system to the professionals. They have the experience to recommend the right products and install it correctly. If something goes wrong later on, you'll have a warranty on the installation. If you install it yourself and something fails or worse yet you damage the electronics in the vehicle... you are on your own.
