Rogue 2011 SV iPod interface question

I am a little confused: my car (Premium package) did not come with an iPod cable.

I know I can connect an iPhone using the Apple USB cable to the car USB port, but this does not let me control the iPhone from the radio.

Is there a Nissan iPod interface cable that allows controlling an iPhone from the radio?

I have the SL with Nav. Mine did not come with a cable either. Bought a belkin cable and i'm forced to control the ipod through the nav window.

Is the cable the same as the cable that comes with the iPhone charger? (USB one side/iPhone connector other side)

Yes, you just use the cable that came with your iPhone or iPod. You have the Nav, right? If so, you should only be able to control the iPod from the nav screen or the steering wheel controls. If you want to control it from the iPod, you have to use the 1/8" aux jack.
