rogue 2009 transmission problem

hey guys ,

I have a problem with my wife's rogue. the axle joint boot front driver side was bad and need to be replaced. so I place a bucket underneath to catch the oil if there is some leaking when removing the axle. then I replaced the bad boot succesfully and reinstall the axle. I catch a small amount of transmission oil in my bucket ( -500ml ) I put this oil back in the transmission by the transmission dipstick.

time for a road test, everything was fine for 2 minute, then the transmission seems to not cooperate. I rev the engine and the car move veeeery slowly. in reverse gear its the same thing I need to rev the engine very high to move..

I dont know if I did something wrong can some one help me with this, ? thank you

Surprised that you did not just get a brand new transmission fluid but rather decided to dump old fluid back into the system. Seem like the transmission is going into "failsafe" mode? Perhaps try with transmission fluid change and work your way up?

yes, I'll unplug the battery and try to reset the cimputer.. then if this does'nt work I'll drain the fluid and replace. but is'nt CVT fluid transmission supposed to last like 150k miles ??

Some people probably run it that long, but the interval recommendation on my 2011 is 40k miles. Yours is probably similar.
