Rods scratched are they still good help

Ok i bought some pistons and rods from a Nico member a few months back when i got them i realized they were scored from a spun bearing there not deep or anything. Are they still usable since the bearings will just be going over the scrathes. Thanks

i guess it would depend on the location and depth of the scores. also you want to pay attention to the bearing keepers, if thay have been rounded out thay will no longer hold your bearing in place and it will spin.l

alright ya its just one rod and the bearing keepers still look straight and the groves really arnt that deep

just make sure you measure them properly so your new bearings have the proper thickness.
