Rod Bearings

My KA in my 89 240sx just got rod knock yesterday (2nd engine in 3 months to get it) and tomorrow I plan on replacing the rod bearings. The engine has roughly 150xxx mi on it. My question to you guys is would i need oversized bearings or would the standard sized ones be ok? I am trying to resolve this as soon as possible since this is my only car and it is a daily driver

try the same set of rod bearings as it comes with stock, if your engine is built up or your driving it hard with 150K on it then your just asking for problems of that nature in truth it has alot of miles on it and yes i know they can run to well over 200K but if your having that problem you might wnat ot think about a rebuild or something of that nature instead of constantly throwing more money into it just to eventually cost you the same out of pocket it will for a rebuild later on down the road...you can always look online say craigslist for a DOHC Ka motor being newer ect you can find them with lower mileage for quite c heap say 300 anyways good luck with the problem

If your crank journals are scored you will need to regrind and polish them and get the correct sized bearings.

well, from the demon spawning sounds my engine was makin i wouldn't doubt that it was but i won't really know till i drop the oil pan tomorrow
