Rocking forward and backward

I have a 1991 Nissan Pathfinder XE 4wd. For about a week and a half I have been noticing that when increasing speed or going up hill I feel myself being rocked backward and forward like one of those bobble head dolls. I did have the transmission serviced just before I started noticing the problem, could it be related to the transmission?

The engine light is not on.No trouble getting up to speed.

How long since you've given it a tune up? A bad ignition system could cause misfiring under load and create the sensation you describe.

I could be wrong but I believe when a trans starts to slip it continues to slip...not slip grab slip grab...

Last tune-up was last fall, September I believe. Problem dose not occur sporadically, there is a pattern.
