rockford fosgate system in my car....

yo i got a question for any audio specilists out there, i am gonna soon put a full rockford fosgate, except cd playa, system in my car. so far i got this far thinkin, power hx2 10" sub powered by the 500bd amp (600x1rms @ 2ohm, sub is 1000rms @ 2ohm max) and i got a 550x 4 channel amp (68.5 rms x4) goin to 5.25 components (70rms max) and a pair of 6x9" (dont remember tha number, its tha 130.00 pair and the best one i found it takes 75rms max) and then i got 4x6" goin into the back powered by my cd player. how does this sound so far???

tell all the rest of those fools to hush. Its ok if you dont want anything too overpowering/expensive its fine i wouldnt get rockford componets ever(i wouldnt get rockford subs either but thats just me).

why not a RF headunit? mine kicks ***. i think it is the rfx9000 , it can play mp3 encoded cds.

crispy so a rf head unit is actually good? i aint neva heard ne thing about them. do u know what rms ur speaker outputs are (the ones to the cars speakers) and what voltage is ur front/rear/sub outputs?

right now for a head unit i got a clarion 725, its an awsome unit but the one thing i dont like about it is the front and sub outputs r 4 volt, but my rear speaker output is only 2 volt. thats stupid if u ask me. i believe my speaker wires to the car speakers produce 22 rms which isnt too bad.

rockford headunits are no good btw. the best you will get is a decent one. eclipse alpine pioneer and kenwood are all fine brands to get head units from

Kenwood all the way, My whole system in my car is Kenwood except for my subs (infinity Kappas...yuuuummmmm). I got kenwood Excelon Mp3 player (z919), Kenwood Excelon 6 1/2" components front and rear, 2 Kenwood 600 watt amps (a 2 channel(subs) and a 4 channel(mids). The whole setup kicks ***. My dad was National Sales trainning manager, so i get HUGE deals

Thats very wrong.....I'd go with a Nakamichi over a pioneer any day of the week.

well i have heavily thought about switchin my low power clarion (it is a nice deck) to a higher power kenwood deck. my friend had a kenwood and he loved it, it had nice power too.

I agree with DSM, Naks > Pioneer. There are many other brands that can stand up against pioneer or better yet, blow Pioneer out of the water. Alpine, Clarion, Eclipse, and I hear the JVC digifines are pretty good in Sq.

my friends pioneer DH ...... cdmp3 player , the one with the graphics that play also , already crapped out. he can only turn up the sound by using the remote. My Rockford fosgate is still going strong.

when i worked at hi-fi buys, too young to work there thank god i had the hook up, alot of pioneers did "crap out". When they where working they where fine h/u's nothing special but good enough. I havent delt with too many rockford h/u's but they are a fairly quality brand and i wouldnt doubt they would last a long time
