Hey guys i need some help. I keep blowing up rocker arms. I recently blew up the 1st one on the exhaust side. I have blown some up before but that was because of tunning and i since then got the car retuned. The car is an s13 with a redtop in it. I have BC 264 cams, ferra valve spring, titanium retainers. Any ideas why this might be happening all the time?

old weak rockers maybe? Are you running rocker arm stoppers?

Most rocker arm breaks I see occur happen from valve float, but the ferrera springs should help reduce the float. Of course, I could see the HLAs being a culprit as well.

they are all new oem rocker arms. I am running RAS. It can be the HLAs but i dont think so because everything is brand new and i followed everything to a T and then the timing chain tensioner snapped and screwed up timing so i had a well known shop finish it for me.

Check the cam lobes for worn spots that seem to be too focused. If there's too much force on one particular spot, I could see that potentially leading to a failure. Normally, the worn spot should be spread across the whole cam lobe.

Other than that, I'm at a bit of a loss as to what could be causing the breakage
