are rocker arm stoppers universal for sr's or are they dependent on the year of the motor? Some companies show them being the same for all the motors and some of them justr show them for s13's.

for s14/s15's you'll probably need to do a bit of trimming but for the most part yeah pretty much universal

The trimming is on the S14/S15 valve cover, not the stoppers. RAS will fit on S13,S14,S15 SR's NA and Turbo.

remember theyre not necessary for stock rev limit, even if you get stage-1 cams you don't need them. Unless youve got the $60+ to burn and you're comfortable with following proper procedure on loosening / retorquing the cam bearing caps. also a good time to replace the VC gasket...

Obviously you've never seen what happens to SR heads when rocker arms are flying around in your head. It really isnt pretty.

It is not absolutely necessary but neither is life insurance.. but people still get it.

And it takes me 30 minutes at the most to do this job. Not very hard. Just following torque specs...

It's a reasonable investment to protect your SR. It's obviously not perfect but it does help.

after you pop your valve cover off, just look at the cam caps (the caps that are holding down the cam shafts) The rocker arm stoppers should go underneath the outside bolts on those caps but sit on the caps them selves.

So, the outside bolts would be the bolts you use to install RAS.

Make sure you loosen and tighten according to FSM specs.

The "fingers" of the RAS should lie right above the rocker arms but not touching.
