rock crawler backspace

HI,
I'm lookin for rock crawler 15x8 for my '98 path and I hesitate between the 3,75' and the 4,5' backspace. I got the original fender flares and I don't want my wheels to stick out. It's kinda illegal and I don't want to get stuck with useless wheels.
Any hint?
Can you explain why is the ET0 going with a 4,5' backspace? Isn't it supposed to be at 4' backspace?

Also, i've read that the 15's rub against the brakes. Anyone can confirm?

3.75 will probably "stick out" a bit, 4.5 should tuck under similar to stock.

at 4" backspacing, you have -12mm ET. (that's what i have on mine). So 4.5" BS is practically ET0.
