What do you guys use to protect your cars on road trips? I was gonna use Blue Tap / Red Vinyl Tape but I heard that it damages your paint and the adhesive will melt onto your car. Maybe I should have ordered a Car Bra but its too late for that. Trip is tomorrow morning.

^ Yep.

Blue tape is fine as well. I've used it extensively.

Car bras are crap, and do more harm than good.

Clear bra is ultimately what you want.

I don't do anything but I have considered using those giant slap on magnets. Thoughts?

To protect what?

Your front bumper is urethane. The only place that you could use a magnet is the hood, and that would lift at speed. Plus, an S13 doesn't get a lot of rock chips on the hood.

I once bought a car that had a clear bra on it. It yellowed so badly over the course(coarse?) of a year that I wanted to take it off. Biggest mistake I've ever made, it's a b**** to get off. I'd rather have a few rock chips.

blue tape, never the yellow. make sure to take it off as soon as u get your car to its destination...if you let it bake in the sun for too long, it will f up the paint and headlights and especially carbon fiber---its happened to my bf :(

Buy some quality stuff and you won't have yellowing problems, and the bumper will be chip free!

I was thinking more of over the rear wheel to prevent chips there. I don't care about the front bumper, its supposed to get f'd, thats why its made out of nissan tech man spunk.

I also put some on the bottom of my front fenders, and the back fenders, to prevent rock chips from my wheel flinging stuff up.
