I know I mentioned my trip from NH to CT, but this one's even longer... I had to drive from southern NH to south central PA today, a total of nearly 500 miles, and 9.5 hours of straight driving. I'm happy to report the car perfomed like a champ the whole way, and I was not fatigued in the least bit. The only downfall to highway driving (with CVT) is the transmission downshifts too quickly when accelerating (even slightly). Fuel mileage was inconclusive, as I was stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic in massachusetts and most of connecticut. I should have a more concrete number for the return trip.

My CVT downshifts funny if I don't break in stages... does that make sense?

anyway, let us know what the return trip offers!

I'm not sure and I can't hardly believe it, but I think I got 36 mpg on a road trip to Kansas City from Omaha and back!

It might be awhile till I can go down there again to see if I can duplicate it, but if it's true than WOW!

I have done the San Antonio to Houston trip a few times. This car just keeps wanting me to give it more pedal. I hae found that I can be cruising at about 85 and not really know it if no other traffic is around.

it's the 'float' effect... the V never feels like it's going as fast as it is... actually pretty cool... ;oD

...

then again... I don't have to worry about speeding tickets... but I might over my trip... I'd better watch it!

Alright, the results were inconclusive; I was stuck in almost 2 hours of bumper-to-bumper traffic on i84 (horrific accident involving a TT and some cars). I was also stuck in NY due to another accident, and there was a car fire on the mass pike.
