2010 Nissan 370Z

Choosing a brand-new and hot-selling car can limit your bargaining at the dealership. When everybody wants one, chances are you'll be paying full price. That's why the 2010 Nissan 370Z is more appealing than ever before. Redesigned last year, the muscular-looking sports coupe still turns heads everywhere it goes. That it's not the absolute newest face on the block only works to your advantage.

With a 332-bhp V-6 engine under the hood-and a base price hovering around $31,000 US ($40,498 CDN*)- the Z is packed with performance and value. A fire-breather when ripping along on an empty race-track, the Z hits 60 mph in less than 5 seconds. But the Z (coupe or Z Roadster) is also remarkably comfortable in real driving world full of rush-hour traffic, red lights and potholes.

Strong resale value and an active club scene are the icing on this performance bargain.

Here are the rest of the cars that made the list:

I didn't really like 370's at first because they are too similar to 350's. But I've seen a few on the road. They sound sooo good.

I don't like the wheels or the lights on the 370z... Give me a Porsche Cayman :naughty:

Retort 1) Of course they're similar to the 350s! It would be like disliking the BMW 335i because it's too similar to the E46 330i. "Same" car, different name.

Retort 2) If you heard a 370Z that sounded good, I wonder what engine was swapped into it. Good car, but the VQ family sounds like cats in a millstone.

I'm most impressed that Nissan made the 370Z smaller and lighter than the car it replaced... now if only it didn't have those stupid lights.

The 370z feels and drives exactly how they stated.

The handling is very tight and responsive, absolutely no "artificial" feel to it. Suspension is pretty stiff, yet over potholes/bumpy roads, it's quite mellow. Acceleration is great and what's even better is that the powerband is flat across all the RPMs. The revmatching is a great feature as well. Takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's really nice.

The only thing it needs is a louder exhaust. I think they're pretty quiet.

Other car manufacturers need to take notice. It's getting outrageous how big and heavy cars are getting. Even cheap compacts.

Then, they go and try to increase fuel efficiency by putting all this heavy hybrid garbage in, which not only increases the price of the car, it also increases the ego of it's drivers.

Hybrid SUV's are even worse. You knowingly buy a large, gas-thirsty vehicle, and then complain about how often you need to stop at the gas station. Instead of making hybrid SUV's they should just offer diesel engines. Unfortunately, most Americans can't get past the stereotype of big, loud, and dirty tractor trailers with black smoke billowing out of the stacks.

Hybrids are a terrible idea. They cost a lot to make, the technology is still new, they are going to deplete lithium resources, they are heavy, and they are expensive. The drivers are usually full of themselves too.

I saw a Prius last year in a (very) rich area with a sticker covering the bottom rear window that said "I'M ELECTRIC!". No you're not! Go away! I don't want to hear about your little fantasy world where your mostly gas powered Prius is completely electric.

I can't stand these people.

:werd: I love how light the RX8 is for a modern car, yet the chassis is still very stiff and performs excellently. I bet an actual 2+2 car using the same design method would fit nicely into the S14/S15 weight range. It's proof that inexpensive sports cars can still be made to meet saftey requirements, have a firm/capable chassis and come in weighing less than 3000 lbs. Hopefully, the FT-86 will take some cues from the SEP3 and go light instead of upsizing like the Genesis coupe.

The new Grand Cherokee looks impressive. I can't wait to drive one.
