I swapped a 94 VH45de engine into my race car 300zx, and have my first track day of the season and with this engine coming up in a couple weeks. I was wondering if there was anyone on here that has tracked one of these engines, and what modifications if any did you do to the oiling system. I currently have a remote filter, oil cooler, and an accusump. I'm not even sure I'll need the accusump, but better safe then sorry.

There are a couple members on here (in the Z32 section) that have done this swap, you may want to seek out those gentlemen, also I believe that godspeed has or had a vh45 Z32, it may be worth dropping them a line to see if they have any useful info they would be willing to share with you.

I think your setup sounds fine. Some of the people that claim there's oiling issues with the VH are usually drifters or may have underlying issues that aren't really oiling system design related. I've ran the crap out of my VH45 including track and about every form of punishment you could imagine, and still as-new oil pressure and compression after 230k miles.
