Road racing ?'s

I know this has probably been asked before, but can someone give me any links or info on road or track racing events. do they exist?(for wekend warriors) qualifications, not into the autoX thing, and I have a LOT to learn about drifting (not as easy as I thought) I just want to run wide open in competion. thanks

there are clubs that organize such events , mainly i have seen them for european cars, i can remember one n.a.s.a
